ABCD and Ophthalmic Associates have been using a Nikon Retinmax for years. The retinomax provides accurate portable estimations of moderate refractive error. The device is hand held and must come in contact with the patient's forehead. The patient then attempts to relax accommodation by gazing at a digital image in the machine. Retinomax can be purchased with or without the ability to estimate keratometry (corneal curvature). (Retinomax K-plus)
